>> Haryana Chief Minister Manohar  Lal Khattar today launched  a scheme for girl child-‘AAPKI BETI HUMARI
BETI’-with the aim to combat the problem of declining child sex ratio in the
state.

This scheme will be implemented in both rural
and urban areas.
SCHEME DETAILS:
Ø 
The first girl child born on or after January
22,2015,in SC and BPL families will be eligible to receive Rs 21,000.
Ø 
Similarly,all second girl child born on or after
January 22,2015 of all families will get Rs 21,000
Ø 
Families,where twin girls or multiple girls are
born ,will get Rs21,000 per girl child.
>> President Pranab Mukherjee presented the ‘STREE
SHAKTI & NARI SHAKTI PURASKARS’  for
the year 2015 at Rashtrapati Bhavan today.
    The award was given in six categories named after eminent women
personalities in the Indian history.
   
The award carries a cash prize of Rs 3,00,000 and a citation.
