>>10 New Schemes for Disabled Persons under the National Trust

Union Minister for Social Justice & Empowerment Shri Thaawar Chand Gehlot has announced the launching of Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan (Accessible India Campaign) on Dec 3 next month by the Prime Minister.

These schemes are: Disha, Vikaas, Samarth, Gharaunda, Niramaya, Sahyogi, Gyan Prabha, Prerna, Sambhav, Badhte Kadam.

A nationwide flagship Accessible India Campaign (Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan) is aimed at to achieve universal accessibility for Persons with Disabilities and to create an enabling and barrier free environment.

The number of categories of disability will also be increased from 7 to 19 so that more number of disabled could be brought into the ambit of Government’s new initiatives.


>>1st ‘Constitution Day’ observed on 26th November 2015. Earlier, the day was announced by PM Modi to aware about the Constitution and its founder Dr.B.R. Ambedkar.

>>On Occasion of Dr Verghese Kurien’s 92nd birth anniversary, AMUL is celebrating National Milk Day on 26th November 2014. 

Dr Verghese Kurien, also famously known as the father of Milk Revolution in India dedicated his entire life to the cooperative movement in India. Due to his faith in farmers of India, India turned from a milk deficit nation to the highest producer of milk in the world.

To celebrate empowerment, self sufficiency and prosperity National Milk Day will be celebrated across the country.

>>International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

The United Nations General Assembly has designated November 25 as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women . Objective : To raise awareness of the fact that women around the world are subject to rape, domestic violence and other forms of violence.


Theme : ‘Orange the World’ campaign kicks off efforts to end violence against women and girls’.

>>Railway Safety Fund of Rs.1.1 Lakh Crore namely ‘Rashtriya Rail Sanraksha Kosh’ (RRSK) inaugurated/launched on 25th November 2015 with the aim to improve the safety measures and to upgrade the railway infrastructure.

>> SREI Infrastructure Finance vice-chairman Sunil Kanoria today assumed charge as president of industry body Assocham.

"Kanoria has been instrumental in bringing over Rs 34,000 crore (over USD 5 billion) of consolidated assets under SREI which became one of the first NBFCs to get listed on the London Stock Exchange".


He is also the joint Managing Director of SREI BNP Paribas, a 50:50 joint-venture between SREI Infrastructure Finance Limited and BNP Paribas Leasing Group, France.

He has also held the prestigious position as Member of the Working Group on Construction for the Tenth Five-Year Plan (2002-07) of the Planning Commission, Government of India.


He is currently a council member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI) as a nominee of the Government of India.
